Night sights need replaced if you care about that. Lost a grip screw somewhere. Fairly certain it’s got a stainless steel guide rod. Has been refinished as has one factory 13rnd magazine. Comes with 3x Sig 13rnd mags and one Mecgar 15rnd mag as shown. Package includes a Jarvis extended threaded (1/2x28) which was $300 and is no longer produced by Jarvis. Factory Sig box and manual included. The marking shown in the photo is the Kiel Proof House Mark. The KF signifies that this pistol was made in 1995. The Eagle-N , right next to the serial number signifies that the firearm was proofed in Germany (In the city of Kiel, which is only 17 miles from SIG Sauer’s manufacturing facility in Eckernförde,), while the “N” indicates that the firearm was proofed using a Nitro Beschuss (or shelling) load. It is The German Definitive Mark and Nitro Testing. The SIG-Sauer P228 pistol was developed from the larger framed SIG-Sauer P226 pistol in 1989. In this model some length was chopped from the barrel and slide, as well as from the grip. The overall shape of the P228 was made slightly more rounded and so more suited for concealed carry featuring a 3.86" barrel, black finish and a decocker lever. In 1991 it was adopted by the US Armed forces that designated it as the M11 pistol, and is still issued to Military Police and some other units. The P228 is widely issued to law enforcement forces in Europe and in the US.
